Races and Beasts

Races

Human

Humans are the most wide-spread of the races and can be found all over Getha. They are most prominent on the continents of Midorian and Asyut. They are organized in countries and focus on developing technology.
As a highly-adaptable species, humans can have any variety of bonuses.
Central Midorian human culture is similar to 1920's western civilization on Earth.

Chessi

The Chessi are human, but belong to a nomadic culture. They eschew most modern developments aside from firearms and food storage (cans, etc.).
As a nomadic people, Chessi have better sight than most, as well as a natural empathy with horses.
Chessi culture is similar to Native American (Great Plains) and Bedouin cultures on Earth.

Inraa, Plains (Dosh)

The Inraa are a mammalian bipedal species. The Dosh are typically slender with narrow heads.  Their skin is covered with a coat of short, fine fur that can sport a variety of patterns (stripes being most common). They possess two small horns on the hairline of their head, the males having larger horns than females, and also have lengthened canines. They have long, tufted ears with limited mobility that give them better hearing than humans.
Dosh culture is that of tribal culture quickly adopting modern culture.
("Plains" Inraa is a misnomer, as they can live anywhere.)

Inraa, Mountain (Kan)

The Kan is similar to the Dosh, but are heavier set and taller. They have thicker fur, as well as heavier horns. Both males and females can develop large horns like those of rams, and even multiple sets. Due to their pelt, cold weather doesn't affect them as much, but are miserable in warmer climes.  The Kan generally reside in the high mountains and northern Midorian.

Beasts

Horses

Horses are still a common beast of burden and travel, though they are beginning to be phased out as motor vehicles are improved.  Most rural areas rely on horses, while cities boast the most vehicles.

Dragons

It is said that there were once three kind of dragons: the wild dragons (or drakes), the risen dragons, and the exalted dragons.
Wild dragons are gendered semi-reptiles that can grow to large size. They are cunning predators, but not particularly intelligent. Particular breeds adapt to their environment and are often named after said environment (i.e. swamp drake or forest drake). They do not build hoards, but may have incidental treasure in their waste piles.
Risen dragons are the classic dragon of many an adventure. It is said they are the result of a breeding between a wild drake and an exalted dragon.  Most are sterile, but a few have been fertile enough to create weak bloodlines.  The risen dragons were the ones that the Mallesonans reputedly made their fortune from slaughtering after the Queensfall.  In the present day, most believe that these dragons were merely wild drakes made bigger than life through storytelling.
Exalted dragons are true dragons, creatures of power and legend. They possessed the most magic of all dragons and were closely allied to the mythical Dragon Queen of the Dracinic Empire. No evidence of such dragons have been found outside legends.
