The world of Getha is in reality a dual existence: Getha, the physical world of mortals, and the Ghostlands, the shadowy world of spirits watered directly by quintessence. It is in the Ghostlands where the true creator of the world and mover of great power can be found, if one is brave enough to risk the wilds of shadow. El, the Great Worldsnake coils around the world as it devours its own tail. In the mortal realm, Getha appears to be a typical planet orbiting a sun.
Several continents occupy the surface with Midorian as the largest, stretching from the arctic to beyond the equator. The others are Asyut (mixture of desert and jungle), Jutland (tundra and ice cap), Hallad (southern temperate), and Nil-Lossdan (antarctic desert).
Midorian is bisected north to south by the Mountains of Heaven, the tallest mountains in the world. They are comparable to the Himalayas but in greater quantity (they are a result of two continents smashing into each other). The far north is an icy tundra with partial icecaps. The far south is covered with lush jungle.
